ABOUT US
Parallax Arts is an independent collective providing event management, event support services, equipment hire, and related creative services. By booking our services, hiring equipment, attending our events, or using our website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
BOOKINGS
All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by Parallax Arts.
A booking is considered confirmed once:
We have accepted the booking request.
Any required deposit has been paid.
A booking confirmation has been issued.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel bookings where necessary.
HIRE
Responsibility
The hirer is responsible for all equipment from collection or delivery until its return.
The hirer agrees to:
Use equipment safely and appropriately.
Follow any instructions provided.
Keep equipment secure.
Not modify or repair equipment without permission.
Damage, Loss & Theft
The hirer is responsible for:
Damage caused during the hire period.
Loss or theft of equipment.
Costs associated with repair or replacement.
Equipment Condition
All equipment should be inspected upon receipt.
By accepting the equipment, the hirer confirms it is in satisfactory condition unless issues are reported immediately.
Returns
Equipment must be returned:
On the agreed date and time.
In substantially the same condition as supplied.
With all accessories and components included.
Additional charges may apply for late returns.
DEPOSITS
Where applicable:
Deposits are non-refundable unless we cancel the booking.
Full payment must be received by the agreed due date.
Late payments may result in cancellation of services or hire agreements.
We reserve the right to charge reasonable recovery costs for unpaid invoices.
CANCELLATIONS
By the Client
Cancellation charges may apply:
More than 30 days before the event/hire date: deposit retained.
14–30 days before: up to 50% of booking value.
Less than 14 days before: up to 100% of booking value.
By Us
We reserve the right to cancel bookings due to:
Safety concerns.
Unforeseen circumstances.
Equipment failure.
Events beyond our reasonable control.
Where possible, refunds will be offered for services not provided.
HEALTH & SAFETY
Clients and hirers agree to:
Follow all safety instructions.
Ensure equipment is used by competent persons.
Provide a safe working environment where our team is operating.
We may stop work or remove equipment if safety concerns arise.
LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the relevant booking.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
RESPONSIBILITY
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including: Extreme weather, Power outages, Transport disruption, Government restrictions, Natural disasters, Acts of third parties
PRIVACY
All Personal information will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection laws.
